2023 Appeal
Greetings!
Hartwood celebrated 50 years of service this past summer. From our early beginnings as a family cooperative organization sharing resources to the thriving public-private community service organization of today, Hartwood has been an innovator in the development and operation of community-based residential and respite services for persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. We look to continue that leadership well into the future.
While the service system has not yet fully recovered from the COVID pandemic, we are very proud to report that over the course of the past year, the number and variety of individual and group recreational outings for our residents, including day trips and out-of-town vacations, have increased significantly. This has only been possible with your support as the intensity and complexity of the services we provide has grown over time. Moreover, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities as they age-in-place is challenging, of course, but again with your continued support, we remain up to the challenge.
Please give generously as you have in the past. With your help, we can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. We wish you a happy, healthy and safe Holiday Season!
With warmest regards,
Christian A. Brown, President
